PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN A PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL PARKING DISTRICT AND
SUPPLEMENTAL PARKING OPPORTUNITIES IN SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES CITYWIDE Adoption of Overnight Parking Restrictions on
public, residential, streets, between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M.,
except for vehicles displaying city issued, overnight, parking permits. The
restrictions would involve approximately 4,300 acres of residentially zoned land
generally bounded by

Council adopt Ordinances No. 2008-24 and No. 2008-26 and Resolution
R2008-183 to: 1. Amend Section 33-94
of Chapter 33, Article VI (Residential Zones Generally) to allow limited,
supplemental front yard parking for detached, single family residences, in all
residential zones, citywide; 2.
Amend Chapter 28 of the Escondido Municipal Code to add Article 11 pertaining
to residential parking permits. The amendment would restrict overnight parking
on public streets within specified areas, between 2AM and 5AM nightly except
for vehicles displaying city issued overnight parking permits; 3. Provide Direction on the desired
effective date of Ordinance 2008-26 and Resolution 2008-183; and 4. Adopt the Negative Declaration that
